Honiton Carers Support
Honiton Carers Support Group is a warm and welcoming Carers Group which supports unpaid carers throughout their caring role and beyond.
We welcome all carers including those looking after someone with dementia.
We meet in a safe and private environment twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the months at The Honiton Methodist Church and at The Studio, The Old Rectory, Awliscombe (for the remainder of 2021) respectively.
We also meet socially in a local cafe on 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of the month for a cuppa & a chat.
We offer activities at our indoor meetings such as Art & Craft, Floral workshops and have speakers and trainers giving talks on both caring and none caring related subjects.
We endeavour to have the latest caring related information available to carers and have 4 trained Devon Carers Ambassador attending most meetings. We make referrals to Devon Carers and signpost to other related organisations who we work closely with such as Honiton Memory Cafe, Honiton Health Matters and Parental Minds a group for carers of young people who have difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing.
We offer telephone support for Carers who cannot attend the Carers Group and regular weekly Emails with the latest information.

Winnie is a Member of the Devon Carers Executive Board and as a Devon Carers Ambassador works closely with Devon County Council.
